Oil prices are hitting records and commodity prices are sky high. Can you say stagflation?

Phoenix Footwear (PXG), a company that I looked at here has been improving and the stock is slowly climbing. It's been up even as the market has been getting killed. Interesting for a retailer.

I think maybe now Buffett wasn't idiotic for not selling Coca-Cola (KO) at its high valuations in the 90s bull. Their best growth comes internationally and a low dollar increases their margins.

PetMed Express Inc. (PETS) sells pet medicine. Good business and growth going forward. I still wouldn't mind seeing it cheaper.

Syntax-Brillian Corporation (BRLC) was showing up in every screen I ran yesterday. Go figure the stock was up 35% today.

Add Webco Industries Inc. (WEBC.PK) to the list of
Pink Sheet Stocks That Can Rock. It's a pretty simple business. They make metal tubes. Diluted earnings for the 1st quarter were up 110% year over year. Solid balance sheet. The price of steel really effects their margins though.

Layne Christensen Co. (LAYN) is one of my favorite water drilling companies. One of the scarcest resources.
